Salah Ghobrial

Chief Executive Officer

Salah Ghobrial joined the company in 2016 as Managing Director, bringing onboard over 17 years of diverse managerial and technical expertise. Ghobrial played a key role in setting the company’s growth strategy and leading internal restructuring.  In January 2018, he was appointed Chief Executive Officer, and is now responsible for developing high-level strategies and leading the international expansion.

Ghobrial holds a bachelor’s degree in construction engineering from the American University in Cairo.

Ihab Demian

Ihab Demian

Managing Director

Ihab Demian joined the company in October 2019 as a Managing Director, following a 33-year career in the engineering and construction industry. He is responsible for the management and oversight of the company’s overall business operations to attain the short-term and long-term strategic goals.

Demian has built his career on a host of challenging assignments within global organizations. Prior to joining Gama Construction, he progressively advanced in a variety of leading positions in construction operations and corporate management, with executive oversight in the development and execution of mega projects in Egypt and overseas. This has honed his long-term experience and understanding of the business dynamics in different markets and with international construction and engineering firms.

Demian holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and construction management. He also completed various courses designed for professional enrichment in the fields of engineering, construction, and corporate finance

Ayman Moharam

Ayman Moharam

Vice Chairman and Operations Managing Director

Ayman Moharam is one of the founding members of Gama Construction and held a variety of roles in the company’s early days. He supported the quality assurance and health and safety efforts that led to Gama’s ISO certifications. He currently works as the firm’s Operations Managing Director, overseeing operations and ensuring that projects are completed to exceed clients’ expectations.

Moharam holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Alexandria University.

Alan Dean

Alan Dean

Technical Director

Alan Dean joined Gama in January 2018 with over 42 years of diverse international experience in civil engineering, power, chemical, and oil and gas projects. His responsibilities comprises of the company’s main functions, including civil and architecture along with the MEP engineering, procurement, purchasing and other aspects of the company’s functions.

Dean held leadership positions at companies such as Norway’s Scatec Solar, Norway’s Kvaerner Process in UK, Austria’s Borealis AG, and Taiwan’s Alstom Power Plants.

Dean holds a bachelor’s degree with an honors in civil engineering from Portsmouth University.

Sara Abdelgawad

Chief Financial Officer

Sara Abdel Gawad joined Gama as Chief Financial Officer in October 2012, bringing over 30 years of experience in leading multinational organizations. She plays a pivotal role in establishing and following company-wide objectives and maximizing shareholder value.

Sara is responsible for planning and implementing strategies focused on profitability and accuracy. Her role also includes risk management, performance measurement, and financial planning and setting financial policies and procedures. She also monitors cash flow to ensure revenue and investment growth.

Sara holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce from Cairo University and a certificate in financial analysis from the International Academy of Financial Management. She has also pursued a number of other training courses to gain expertise in finance and management.

Rami Bondok

Commercial Director

Rami Bondok joined the company as Overseas Senior Commercial Manager in October 2016, bringing to the company over 15 years of experience with regional and international companies. In 2018, he was appointed as Head of the Commercial Department and has been leading both the business development and the pre-award phase of business since then.

Bondok is responsible for identifying and developing growth opportunities as per the company’s strategic objectives. He is also in charge of tendering and contract negotiation processes, aiming at diversifying the company’s portfolio of projects and revenue streams and expanding growth and profitability.

Bondok holds a bachelors of civil engineering of Ain Shams University and masters of science degree in structural analysis from Ain Shams University as well.

 

Ramy Dayel

Projects Control & Contracts Director

Ramy Dayel joined the company as Projects Control & Contracts Director in June 2019, bringing over 17 years of experience in project management and project services for mega projects in different sector including infrastructure, energy, oil & gas and mining & metallurgy sectors across North America, North Africa and Middle East.

Prior to Gama Construction, he worked as a Director of Project Services – M&M – Middle East, Europe and North Africa with SNC-Lavalin International.  He also held leading positions in companies such as Bechtel International, Hatch in Canada as well as Contrack International.

Ramy holds master’s degree in construction management from Concordia University in Canada as well as Executive MBA degree from City University of London.

Hossam Eldin Galal

Operations Director

Hossam Eldin Galal joined Gama in December 2019 as Operations Director, bringing over 30 years of experience in the field of engineering and construction. He is responsible to oversee the projects’ operations, to ensure the projects comply with quality standards to meet the clients’ expectations.

Throughout his long career, Galal held a variety of project management and leadership roles to deliver projects on EPC basis in different sectors such as; Oil and Gas, High-rise Buildings, Residential Compounds, Industrial Projects, Resorts and other types of projects in both Egypt and Qatar.

Galal holds bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and master’s certificate of project management from University of Houston Clear Lake.

Enzo Raho

QHSE Director

Enzo Raho joined the company in November 2019 as Quality Control, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) Director. He has more than 19 years of international experience in QHSE, since he worked in various countries such as Italy, North America, KSA and Turkey. Raho leads the development, execution and communication of all the company’s QHSE programs, focusing on achieving projects’ sustainable performance in compliance with the industry-specific regulations and international standards.

Throughout his career, Raho successfully implemented Project Management Systems in challenging projects such as large tunnels, complex bridges, dams, airports, hospitals and buildings. Raho has extensive experience in investigation, regulatory compliance, training and loss prevention practices.

Raho holds master’s degree in mining and environmental engineering from Università di Bologna, and he holds executive master’s degree in business administration from LUISS (Libera Università Internazionale degli Studi Sociali) Business School in Roma.

Ahmed Tharwat

Ahmed Tharwat

Operations Support Director

Ahmed Tharwat joined the company in April 2015 as QHSE Director brining to the company more than 19 years of international experience. In January 2018, he was appointed to his current position as Operations Support Director, where he supports operations expansion and oversees strategic planning.

Tharwat is in charge of various functions including concrete and brick production, scaffolding, equipment, surveying and documentation, and he works to ensure that all projects are well supported and all operations run smoothly.

Tharwat holds a bachelor’s degree in electronics engineering from Al Mansoura University, and an MBA in project management from the Arab Academy for Science and Technology in Cairo. He has also received the Total Quality Management Diploma from the American University in Cairo and the International General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety, qualifying him as a Lead Auditor, from the UK’s International Register of Certificated Auditors via the Arab Academy.

Samaa Hamama

HR and Communications Director

Samaa Hamama joined Gama as Human Resources and Communications Director in August 2018, bringing more than 20 years of experience at local construction companies.

At Gama, she directs the strategic organizational development, including employer branding, salary structuring, and talent acquisition. In addition, Hamama is responsible for the company’s external and internal branding, communications, and public relations activities.

As part of those responsibilities, she directs outreach campaigns to target markets and plays an important role in disseminating internal information throughout the company.

Hamama holds a bachelor’s degree in law from Cairo University and received her MBA in 2007. She also completed a diploma from the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD) in Manchester in 2017.
